Offset bulb flat is a shaped rolled product, which is a one-piece cuts-rolled flat-wall or leg and a rounded head shaped and related to black rolled metal.
Maritime bulb flats are made of maritime specialized steel grades. This shape is used as a stiffening rib when creating large sheet metal structures during the construction of ship hulls. Bulb flats are welded in a horizontal direction from the inner side of the hull. Thanks to the rounded form and reinforcing ability, bulb flats provide high resistance to bending in the lower part of the ship hull.
From 2017 Ferrum, LLC together with "Omutninsky Metallurgical Plant" , JSC has begun producing of bulb flats and, to date; the company is the only authorized dealer in Russia and the CIS.
Quality of the bulb flats is confirmed by international inspectors, the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) and Russian River Register (RRR).
Bulb flats with foreign certification according to EN 10067:1997 are available for ordering.
An angle bar is one of the varieties of structural shapes. One of its main advantages: with a relatively low weight of running meter it has a high degree of bending strength. This makes it possible to use it as a reinforcing, binding or bypass element of the constructed structure. It is commonly used due to its relatively low cost and high practicability.
Angle bars can be classified as equilateral and inequilateral. The first ones have an equal width of the sides, the second have a different width.
Angle bars are used in the construction of maritime platforms and ships. The size of the angle bar is determined by the thickness and width of the leg. An important criterion in the production of this product is the accuracy of rolling. According to this criterion, the angle bars can be of high or ordinary accuracy.
